The Washburn University Registrar's Office offers the following services for replacing a diploma or transcript requests. For more information, visit their website or contact the registrar at registrar@washburn.edu.

My diploma was lost or damaged. How can I replace it?

If your diploma has been lost or damaged, you can order a replacement. The cost to replace a diploma is $30, and payment must be included with your replacement request. Replacement diplomas will be available approximately six to eight weeks after the request is placed.

Ordering a replacement diploma

If you wish to have your diploma replaced, please print and complete the Diploma Replacement Form (below) and

  • mail the form to the address below, along with the $30 fee—the University Registrar’s Office accepts cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover—or
  • scan the form into a computer and email it to registrar@washburn.edu, including credit card information, or
  • bring the form to the Student One Stop, Morgan Welcome Center.

Washburn University policy requires that all requests for diploma replacement be made in writing, and signed, and dated by the student.

We will contact you when your replacement diploma arrives, and when it does, you can pick it up in the Student One Stop, Morgan Welcome Center, during regular business hours. You will need to present photo ID.

If you wish to have your diploma mailed to you, please complete the mailing portion of the Diploma Replacement Form and include the mailing fee with your payment.

How can I request my Washburn University transcripts?

A transcript is an official copy of a student's permanent academic record. Each transcript costs $8.00. Checks and money orders can be made out to Washburn University.

Note: University policy prohibits issuing transcripts to any student with any financial or other unmet obligations to the University.

Requesting Your Official Transcript

1. Online Transcript Ordering Service
Washburn University has provided a secure online transcript ordering service for your convenience. Simply follow the instructions on the link above to order your transcript. This provides you with the opportunity to order at any time, to pay with a credit card and to receive status updates via email or text messages. A $2.25 service fee is applied to the credit card in addition to the cost of the transcript(s).

2. Transcript Request form (PDF)*

  • To request your transcript, please print and complete the Transcript Request Form at the above link and mail the form and payment to the address listed on the form, or
  • bring the form to the Student One Stop, Morgan Welcome Center.
    • If paying for a transcript in person, please be aware that a convenience fee will be charged for processing credit card payments.

3. Submit your request in writing*
If you are unable to utilize the transcript ordering options provided above, you may submit your request in writing. You may mail or bring in your request along with payment. The University Registrar’s Office accepts cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Clearly print the following information:

  1. Your current name, as well as any other name(s) used while enrolled at the University
  2. Social Security Number or Washburn Identification Number
  3. Date of Birth
  4. Dates of attendance
  5. Address to which the transcript is to be mailed
  6. Your return address and telephone number in the event we need to contact you
  7. Your signature and the date

*Note: The Registrar will not process your transcript request without your signature or payment. Requests without payment will be returned without processing.

Academic transcripts contain confidential information. Any individual acting on behalf of the student must have written authorization from the student.
